Mail App (FDS Mail) · FUDISE · updated October 1, 2026
In short
Mail App is a mail client. We don't store your mail: it stays with your mail provider (Gmail, Mail.ru, Yandex, iCloud and others). We don't sell data and show no ads.
What we keep
- Your mailbox address, and the name and photo you set or that we found publicly.
- Your mailbox password or sign-in access (Google, Mail.ru), encrypted, only to check for new mail and send messages when you ask.
- Your sorting rules and notification settings.
- Your device's push token (Firebase Cloud Messaging).
- Messages scheduled to send later: encrypted, and only until they are sent, then deleted.
What we don't keep
Message bodies, subjects, attachments and previews are not stored on our servers. They are fetched from your provider when you open the app and passed straight to you.
Who receives what
- Your mail provider, to work with your mail.
- Google Firebase and Apple: the text of push notifications (sender and subject, if previews are on).
- For sender pictures our server asks for public images: Mail.ru (by address), Gravatar (an address hash only) and brand logos from their own websites. Your messages and your IP address are not shared.
Deleting
Remove a mailbox in the app: avatar → Account Data → Remove mailbox. Its password, rules and tokens are then deleted from our servers; removing the last one deletes all of your data. Mail at your provider is not touched. More: deleting your data.
